FAQ

Q How long does the procedure take?
A
It varies depending on the situation.
In general, it takes about 90-120 minutes from anesthesia to the completion of the procedure.
Q Do I need general anesthesia?
A
General anesthesia or deep sedation is required.
Q How does the procedure work?
A
Before the implantation, your lesion will be examined with several tests (Angio measurement, Balloon sizing measurement, Coronary compression test by balloon, Several points pressure check and so on) to confirm the location and size precisely. At this step, the medical team will determine whether PULSTA is the optimal treatment for you.

Once determined, a delivery system with the PULSTA pre-mounted on will be introduced into the femoral vein in the leg near the groin. After insertion, a simple check up regarding the valve performance and pressure gauge is done to complete the procedure.

Q Is it going to leave any scars on my skin?
A
It may leave a tiny scar on your thigh near the femoral vein.
However, it will be very small and hard to locate. Therefore, you don't have to worry for aesthetic reasons.

It depends. In the earliest cases, you may go home on the same day you have received the procedure, or the next day.
